How To Replace Your BMW Suspension Bushings?

This article is all about the importance of inspecting your vehicle's suspension bushings, and how making sure they're replaced can be a hassle for some. We'll go into detail about replacing suspension bushings, why it's important to do so, as well as what you should look out for when inspecting them.

If you're experiencing suspension problems, it's time to replace your bushings. Here's how to do it:

1. Locate the two suspension bushings nearest the bottom of the car. On some models, these are located on either side of the car near the rear axle. It is a good idea to buy BMW Suspension Bushings at competitive prices via PS Bushings.

2. Remove the bolts that hold them in place.

3. Carefully pry the bushings off the frame with a flathead screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the frame or suspension components in the process!

4. Clean both surfaces of the bushings with a degreaser and a cloth, then coat them with a good quality rubber or silicone sealant. Replace the bolts and tighten evenly to secure.

When replacing your BMW suspension bushings, it's important to take care not to over-tighten them. Over-torquing can cause your suspension to break, or worse, cause excessive noise and vibration.

When installing the new bushings, make sure they're seated firmly in their respective sleeves before adding any additional force. Finally, clean all parts of your car before starting the repair – a dirty car will only make the problem worse.
